Experience

Syncrolite was founded in 1984 by former Showco founder and CEO Jack Calmes after more than 20 years of innovative leadership from the very beginnings of today's production services industry. Syncrolite was joined in 1985 by B.J. Schiller, a top production manager and engineer from the Showco days and John Sellers, Senior Electronics Engineer and later by Jimmy Page a Showco veteran. This core team has a combined 100 years of major show production experience and have contributed to shows and major projects all over the world since the early 70's.

The company has wide ranging experience in all phases of production from audio to power distribution to television production, but in the past fifteen years has chosen to focus solely on the specialty it has pioneered -- large format automated lighting systems. The company designs and manufactures the world's leading range of large format automated lighting instruments and provides equipment for sale and hire around the world. Projects include fixed installations at Disney World and Epcot Center Caesar's Palace, Le Reve/Wynn Casino, Hong Kong's Bank of China, Commerce East and West Tower and Jardines Building, Belgrade Square in Serbia and the recent St. Louis Arch National Monument and the Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas lighting plus hundreds of major concert tours, television specials, major events, openings and major motion pictures.
